MiniPal 4 range

This easy to use, yet powerful software package is tailor-made for the MiniPal 4 and MiniPal 4 RoHS WEEE benchtop spectrometers. It adds considerable flexibility for fast elemental analysis across the periodic table without the need for special accessories or modifications. The software enables everyone to carry out routine operations requiring no expert knowledge – the software takes care of it all.

Comprehensive and advanced

The comprehensive MiniPal software performs quantitative and qualitative analysis. Standard features include:

  • Automatic program selection (APS) conducts rapid measurements on a sample, the results of which are used to automatically determine optimal application choice
  • Simple routine user interface with 'easy-measure' push button operation
  • Fully integrated peak deconvolution for unraveling complex spectra*. This function separates closely-spaced peaks that would otherwise not be resolved. Special algorithms accurately describe peak shape, providing truly accurate analysis without the need for secondary filters and/or reference spectra
  • Easy comparison of multiple spectra, including a two-dimensional and three-dimensional spectrum evaluation tool
  • Different types of background evaluations for all types of sample matrices makes the integrated peak deconvolution even more flexible and robust
  • Transmission of data to other computers for LIMS purposes
  • Access security to protect against unauthorized interference or operator error
  • Theoretical alphas, fundamental parameters model and Compton ratio options for correcting intensity deviations caused by matrix effects
  • Easy transfer of calibrations using re-calibration based on re-measurement of only a few standards or the latest routine measurements
  • Automatic selection of optimum measurement conditions using the condition finder in the software
  • On-line Statistical Process Control (SPC) facility. In an industrial environment, this offers a means of observing trends and signaling unexpected deviations in the materials or process being controlled. Data are presented in an easily interpretable graphical form and immediate warning is given when any results fall outside the control limits

MiniPal software operates under Windows XP and Vista. A Quick Start Guide and User Guide, simplifying installation and application setup, are supplied as part of the package.

Optional Software Modules

  • Omnian, advanced standardless analysis, software package is available for use with MiniPal 4. Designed to provide fast and reliable results in the default ‘blackbox’ mode Omnian is easy to use and ready for any sample
  • FingerPrint, advanced algorithm permits rapid and accurate material identification and can be used for all material investigations
  • Enhanced Data Security (EDS), is available for use with MiniPal 4. This module brings the level of security to the level required for FDA 21 Part 11 compliancy

* The spectrum evaluation is done by non-linear least squares fitting, based on the AXIL algorithm developed by the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
