This easy to use, yet powerful software package is tailor-made for the MiniPal QC. It adds considerable flexibility for fast elemental analysis across the periodic table without the need for special accessories or modifications. The software enables everyone to carry out routine operations requiring no expert knowledge – the software takes care of it all.
Comprehensive and advanced
The comprehensive MiniPal software version 4.0 operates under Windows 2000 / NT / XP for performing quantitative and qualitative analysis. Standard features include:
- Simple routine user interface with "easy-measure" push button operation.
- Fully integrated peak deconvolution for unraveling complex spectra. This function separates closely-spaced peaks that would otherwise not be resolved. Special algorithms accurately describe peak shape, providing truly accurate analysis without the need for secondary filters and/or reference spectra.*
- Automatic theoretical influence coefficients (a's) to correct the intensity deviations caused by matrix effects (inter-element effects within the sample).
- Wide range calibrations based on a full fundamental parameter (FP) calculated matrix correction.
- Compton-ratio matrix correction.
- Easy transfer of calibrations using re-calibration based on re-measurement of only a few standards or the latest routine measurements.
- Automatic selection of optimum measurement conditions using the condition finder in the software.
- Access security to protect against unauthorized interference or operator error.
- On-line Statistical Process Control (SPC) facility. In an industrial environment, this offers a means of observing trends and signaling unexpected deviations in the materials or process being controlled. Data are presented in an easily interpretable graphical form and immediate warning is given when any results fall outside the control limits.
- Easy comparison of multiple spectra, including a two-dimensional and three-dimensional spectrum evaluation tool.
- Transmission of data to other computers for LIMS purposes
Furthermore, a Quick Start Guide and User Quide, simplifying installation and application setup, are supplied as part of the package.
* The spectrum evaluation is done by non-linear least squares fitting, based on the AXIL algorithm developed by the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
