X'Press 3/2016

Our periodical X'Press, the customers' voice, contains news items, reports of trips and conferences and customer stories. 'How to develop?' is the central theme of the third and last issue of X’Press in 2016. Many of our customers, be it in industry or in research institutions, are involved in developments of new processes or products. In this phase they often approach our specialists for advice on how to get quick feedback on intermediates, easy verification of materials or a quality check of end products.

X'Press 1/2016

Our periodical X'Press, the customers' voice, contains news items, reports of trips and conferences and customer stories. The theme in this first edition of the new year is trust. Trust, in the meaning of ‘relying on’ or ‘having faith in’ is from all times and is the base of all relationships in personal and business life. PANalytical’s systems usually serve one aspect of ‘trust’: they enable the user to trust the quality of his products. Our stories about banah UK Ltd., SoilCares and the Indian Hetero Drugs company show how these customers use our equipment for quality control. Does the newly developed cement contain the desired components, what is the exact composition of the analyzed soil and do the produced drugs only contain the specified compounds in their effective form – these are only some of the questions which can be answered by employing X-ray diffraction or X-ray fluorescence.

X'Press 1/2017

Our periodical X'Press, the customers' voice, contains news items, reports of trips and conferences and customer stories. 'How to invest?' is the central theme of the first issue of X’Press in 2017. In the future, we must move away from purely transactional business. Our customers around the world are asking more from their suppliers. Together, we will define and agree an approach to your challenges. Our solution will comprise not just an instrument but the relevant software, application knowledge and service. This will be installed and tested according to the requirements defined at the beginning of the process. In this way, we want to ensure that our customers are getting the most value from their investments with us.

X'Press 3/2015

Our periodical X'Press, the customers' voice, contains news items, reports of trips and conferences and customer stories. 'How to educate?' is the central theme of the last issue of X’Press in 2015. Late 2014, mankind landed Philae on a comet and in July 2015 spacecraft New Horizons flew by Pluto and took astonishing pictures that led to the recent discovery of ice volcanoes on Pluto. In achieving this scientific and economic progress, education plays an important role. For this issue of X’Press we have collected a few aspects and examples of education.

X'Press 2/2017

Our periodical X'Press, the customers' voice, contains news items, reports of trips and conferences and customer stories. 'How to collaborate?' is the central theme of the second issue of X’Press in 2017. After almost 15 years of being PANalytical we have started the collaboration with Malvern to create the new company Malvern PANalytical. History shows that many discoveries have only been possible by the collaboration of (a number of) scientists. A regular exchange of ideas, discussions of controversial or problematic issues and a joint refinement of findings can ultimately lead to a breakthrough. This has always been PANalytical’s and Malvern’s style of collaborating with our customers (you find a few examples in this issue) and it is one of the important common features of both companies.

Versatile X-ray scattering platform

The Empyrean Nano edition is a hybrid laboratory X-ray scattering instrument. It uniquely enables for a variety of techniques for the structural characterization of (nano)materials on multiple length scales. Main applications: • SAXS and WAXS: Small-and wide-angle X-ray scattering • Bio-SAXS:     SAXS on biological macromolecules • USAXS:      Ultra small-angle X-ray scattering • Total scattering:    Atomic pair distribution function (PDF)
analysis Several other applications, such as powder diffraction, thin film analysis and CT can be added - also as later upgrades. The high performance and flexibility of the instrument are driven by a high-resolution goniometer platform, a modular concept and latest detector technology. > Download brochure
