Scott Gilroy, announced PANalytical Australia's new General Manager
PANalytical, the world’s leading supplier of instrumentation and software for X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) has appointed Scott Gilroy as the new General Manager for Australia, as of 18 December 2015.
Scott will be taking over the leadership reins from Tony Larkin, who has decided to pursue other interests. The company would like to thank Tony for his 10 years of service. He was instrumental in building the foundation for Australia’s operations as well as in his prior role as Regional Financial Controller for PANalytical’s Asia Pacific region.
Scott is a familiar face within the local market, as the Regional Manager for XRF product management as well as Marketing. Having joined the company since 2004, he has been exposed to both national as well as regional wide posts within the Sales, Marketing and technical realm. He is a regular guest speaker on analysis using X-ray fluorescence techniques using the latest advancements in X-ray technology. Most recently, he was in Thailand and Singapore presenting to various oil and gas companies on PANalytical’s newest XRF spectrometer, the Zetium, finalist of R&D 2015 innovations which combines both energy and wavelength dispersive technologies.
As General Manager for Australia, Scott will relinquish his other roles. “I am honoured to be considered for the role as General Manager. I look forward to working with the team to support the analytical interests of our customers” says Scott.
“Scott has displayed great dynamism and technical knowledge in his dual roles as Regional XRF and Marketing Manager. He is passionate about helping industries find the best solution for their analysis. Backed by a strong team, we are confident that Scott will be able spur greater awareness of X-ray technology for elemental analysis within Australia,” says Gjalt Kuiperes, the Regional Director for PANalytical Asia Pacific.
