High-tech future for women was success

Event for female students and professionals

On May 14, 2013 the companies PANalytical, Thales and Demcon organized a special day for women with a technical education, interested in a future career in one of the companies. The intention was for women to become acquainted with these companies, to show the various career possibilities and to discuss opportunities in the high-tech industry in general.

The program was led by chairwoman Annemarie van Gaal, successful businesswoman, publisher and author.

Vanessa Evers, professor Robotics at the University of Twente talked about the development of her career in this technical world. Subsequently three more women, all employed at the participating companies, presented their careers and answered questions from the audience. This session was chaired by Cocky Booy, Director of VHTO (national expert organisation girls/women and science/technology). PANalytical was represented by Annemie van den Boom (Sales Director).

In the afternoon Annemarie van Gaal hosted a public discussion about "what women want" and the day ended with Lisa Portengen's ludicrous "Smart & Sexy" program.

PANalytical

All three participating companies presented information for guests in individual booths. PANalytical's Marije van Beek, Violetta Uricanu, Natalia Dadivanyan and Marga de Groot enthusiastically demonstrated to the participants that PANalytical offers interesting and exciting career possibilities to women with a technical education.
