Modern solutions for electrolytic bath analysis in aluminum industries
The webinar will explain several methods and options for electrolytic bath analysis using X-ray diffraction (XRD) as a standard tool for process control in aluminum industries.
Different techniques for the determination of excess alumina (exAlF3), bath ratio (BR) and phase composition of standard and non-standard baths directly from the XRD pattern will be discussed and compared.
The webinar targets operators and managers from process control departments of aluminum smelters, academic XRD working on process control solutions for mining and metal industries as well as all other people from the analytical sector, interested in new XRD method.

Nicholas Norberg studied Mineralogy and Crystallography in Vienna (Austria) dealing with radiation damage in minerals before moving to Potsdam (Germany) where he was working in the field of experimental mineralogy studying mineral chemistry and physics at elevated temperatures and pressures. He joined PANalytical in Almelo (the Netherlands) as an Application Specialist for XRD in 2011.
