Improved maintenance by accurate elemental analysis of lubrication oil

This webinar focuses on the benefits of using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) for the characterization of wear elements/alloys in lubrication oil and debris. Identifying potential fatigue and abrasive wear sources can lead to improved maintenance of engines and other moving components. Other, more commonly used techniques for analyzing lubrication oil only see a part of the picture because of filtering or separating oil from particles, and the difficulty of getting certain elements into solution. XRF sees the whole picture by measuring the lubrication oil - debris and all - as is with no sample preparation. Sophisticated software can take it one step further, identifying problematic components based on elemental signatures in the sample. Learn more about how PANalytical offers a total XRF solution to improve your maintenance possibilities.
