Stockpile management and raw meal preparation

A constant, high-quality feed of raw material into the production process requires careful blending of material sourced from various spots in the quarry. The key parameters of this stockpile management are the chemical and mineralogical composition. Also the composition of the additives such as Al, Fe and quartz must be monitored carefully for a high-quality end product.

PANalytical’s XRF solutions, such as the Cement edition of Zetium allow for rapid and accurate analysis of products in the various stages in the production process. It is compliant with the ASTM C114 norm and has a sample changer that can handle up to 200 samples.

The Epsilon 3X is the ideal compact XRF instrument for elemental analysis of drill meals or raw material screening. The Epsilon 3X is easy to install, requires no liquids or gasses and maintenance costs are low, yet it has excellent light element performance.

The CNA Pentos-Cement neutron analyzer allows for continuous uninterrupted monitoring of the elemental composition of the quarry materials for real-time stockpile control.

PANalytical’s CubiX³ Cement XRD solution is the ideal tool for rapid and reliable mineralogical quantification of the products in the various stages in the production process. The optional X’Changer can handle up to 64 samples. The CubiX³ can be connected with the Cement edition of Zetium using a belt for combined elemental and mineralogical analysis.
