Analysis of mineral and trace element content in livestock feed

This data sheet investigates the capabilities of the Epsilon 3, a benchtop energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer as a tool for analyzing Na, Mg, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, and Pb in a range of livestock feeds.

The simple sample preparation along with quick and simultaneous measurement of elements, make the XRF technique an interesting analytical method for the feed industry. It allows rapid analysis close to production lines.
